About FEPC

About Fertility & Early Pregnancy Care — Ireland

Fertility & Early Pregnancy Care was created to support people through the gaps in care.

Section 01

Why these services exist

There is a gap in early pregnancy care in Ireland that most people don’t know about until they’re in it.

Early Pregnancy Care

Routine maternity care typically begins around 12 weeks. The weeks before that, from a positive test, there is very little structured clinical support available — regardless of how the pregnancy was conceived or what the patient’s history is.

Fertility Travel Support

At the same time, Irish people are travelling abroad for fertility treatment in their thousands — having to navigate monitoring, blood tests, and early pregnancy at home, without a clear pathway in the Irish system.

FEPC was founded to support people in both of these gaps — with clinical insight, services built around the reality of what patients actually experience.

Section 02 · Meet the founder

Roisín Baggott

Fertility Nurse Specialist · Founder

Roisín Baggott is a Fertility Nurse Specialist and the founder of Fertility & Early Pregnancy Care. With over a decade of clinical experience in fertility, early pregnancy, women’s health and wellbeing, Roisín has supported thousands of women and couples through some of the most tender and complex moments of their reproductive journey.

Her work began in fertility care in 2012, where she quickly recognised both the strengths of the system and the significant gaps in structured support that left many women feeling confused, overwhelmed, and alone — particularly in the early weeks of pregnancy before formal maternity care begins. Fertility & Early Pregnancy Care was created to bridge that gap.

Her mission is simple: to make fertility and early pregnancy easier to navigate, safer to experience, and far less isolating.

Roisín oversees the Early Pregnancy Pathway, bringing over a decade of specialist experience in fertility and early pregnancy care. From your first consultation through to your 12-week handover, she is your consistent clinical point of contact — keeping you informed, supported, and guided at every step. MD · Medical Oversight

Dr Anthony Rafferty

Your medical oversight is provided by Dr Anthony, with advanced training and a special interest in fertility, gynaecology, and pregnancy. He personally reviews all results, provides clinical guidance, and issues prescriptions where required — ensuring safe, consistent, and fully governed care throughout your pathway.

Section 04

Our clinical approach

Pregnancy care is more than the sum of clinical results. It deserves care that honours the whole person, while remaining grounded in evidence and clinical governance.

At FEPC we hold both of these things. We are professionally rigorous and humanly present. We do not replace your GP or maternity services — we work alongside them, filling the gaps that currently exist in the Irish system.

The Early Pregnancy Pathway is not an emergency service.
